Off to the MTC

March, 28, 2012  Erica is packed and ready to go to the MTC.  We met her sisters Ashley and Brittany between their classes at BYU so they could say good-bye.

It was so fun to see the girls together. In June, Brittany will leave for the Spain, Malaga Mission and Ashley will leave for the Chile, Concepcion Mission.  They will share this wonderful adventure together.


Then it was time for the good-byes.....

When we got to the MTC, we unloaded her suitcase, gave her a hug and off she went!

Erica is so excited to be a missionary. She loves the gospel and is excited to share it with the people in Italy.

Farewell Dinner

This is Erica's Mom writing the first post on her mission blog.  On Sunday, March 25, 2012,  Erica gave a wonderful talk in Sacrament Meeting on the Atonement.  She then sang one of her favorite songs, "Wondrous Love". It was so beautitiful.  To me she sounded like an angel.  Then she sang some beautiful Easter songs with the ward choir.  It was a great meeting.

Family and friends came to our home for a brunch after church.  Erica had a lot of fun talking to people that she loves and that she knows loves her.

Before she was set apart on Tuesday, we gathered at our house. Erica's sister, Stacey had each one of us sign a pillowcase for Erica to take on her mission so she could remember that her family loves her and is thinking of her.
