August 8th, 2012 Update

Ciao a tutti,

Ok. It's been a bit rough the past few weeks. Training for my area has been an adventure. It has been tough at times to know how to continue the work forward with companion that is very different when the work itself has had to change because of the changing seasons. It seems that half the world on vacation. It seems that life seems to stop here until September. We did have a lesson yesterday where the brother of our potential investigator happened to be there. His wife is a member of the church and has been for years. There was a big question about the differences between the Catholic church and the LDS church. As we spoke of authority, this brother actually bore an amazing testimony on the power of priesthood blessings. There was a time when he was deathly ill and his nephew gave him a blessing. He said that he has never had such an amazing feeling. He knows that he is going to be baptized, but just doesn't know when.

Also, we have some great news! Lidia's other son, Stefano, has started to meet with the Anziani. He now has set a baptismal date! This would be such an amazing thing for them to be able to be united as a family. I really hope that he is able to receive the vision that comes with understanding who we are.

Much love,

Slla. Lovell

August 1, 2012 Update

Sister Lovell didn't have much time to write this week, but she did send this short note that I wanted to pass along...

I wish that I could write more, but have to run. I really wish that I could write and promise to have a great letter for next week. I love you all so much and am so amazed by how lucky I am to have such a family.
