Saluti da Roma!
Writing now is a bit different hilltops of Rome. A part of me will always be in Taranto. It was rough to leave, but it exciting to get to a new area and get to work.
Rome. My area is part of Rome centro, but just to the west. It is such a diverse area. When talking to people, it has been an adventure and a more common question is "Where are you from?" I have thought of the missionaries from the MTC meet people from all over the world. Contacting people from India, Phillipines, Peru, etc. is amazing.
Most of the families in Rome 1 are international, including a few American families. My second night here I was able to meet the Goumba family from Africa. They are quick to laugh and quick to love.
My companion is Sorella Miles. There are actually four sisters serving in this ward and we all live togther. We are a new companionship in this ward, so we have the excitement of being blown in. We are starting our work from stratch, but have been busy meeting with new converts and less-active members. There are so many people to meet here. We know that as we do our part, we will see that hand of the Lord in our work.
Much love,
Erica
